TACTICAL FLIGHT MANUAL: MULTI-TARGET INTERCEPTOR (V2.2.4)

Welcome to the cockpit of the ultimate 1974-era fleet defense fighter simulation. This guide outlines everything you need to command the weapon systems, master the dual-stage flight envelope, and safely neutralize incoming airborne threats.

Mission Overview

Your mission is simple but intense: patrol the fleet perimeter, locate 6 incoming hostile targets, successfully couple radar tracking blocks to each target, and launch a devastating long-range missile salvo.

The engagement takes place across two completely independent operational environments:

  1. Cockpit InterACTION Phase: Steer your aircraft’s radar array to sweep the skies, lock your targets, and monitor proximity alerts as hostiles close the distance.
  2. Tactical Isometric Resolution: Once weapons leave the rail, the view shifts to a 3D isometric tracking grid where you monitor your automated active-radar missiles hunting down the threat vectors in real time.

The Dual-Paradigm Control Matrix

The interface dynamically reconfigures whether you are playing on a traditional desktop platform or piloting via mobile touch surfaces (in either widescreen landscape or bottom-docked portrait dashboard configurations).

Step-by-Step Flight Guide

Phase 1: The Airborne Sweep (Cockpit View)

  • Maintain Horizon Discipline: The background water and sky line react dynamically to your attitude changes. Note: Flight stick physics are authentic—pressing Up drives the nose down, and pressing Down pulls the nose up.
  • Track the Azimuth: Watch for hostiles crossing your green Heads-Up Display (HUD) targeting boundaries. Their current range is displayed below their brackets in Nautical Miles (NM).
  • Couple Your Radars: Maneuver your central crosshair reticle directly over an un-locked target. When the system highlights them as READY, engage your lock protocol (Spacebar or LOCK Button). The bracket turns red and flashes TRK LOCK.

Phase 2: System Evader Protocol

  • Threat Mitigation: Hostile fighters are heavily armed. The millisecond a target closes inside 34 NM, they will initiate a staggered combat salvo, firing up to 4 inbound Missiles directly at your cockpit.
  • Watch the Integrity Bar: Inbound threat vectors flash WARNING: INBOUND as they grow larger on the glass. If an Acrid missile impacts your HUD box, your structural integrity drops by one unit.
  • Three Strikes Rule: Your hull can only take 2 impacts. A 3rd impact completely neutralizes your flight deck, compromising your HUD and sending your aircraft into a terminal spin-out crash onto the isometric sea grid.

Phase 3: Launching the Salvo (Tactical Resolution Map)

  • Fire Weapons: Once you have paired your weapon coupling systems, execute the firing sequence (Enter or FIREButton).
  • The "Mad Dog" Safeguard: If emergency parameters force you to fire without acquiring any radar locks, your weapon deck safely deploys an unguided 6-missile layout straight up the screen rails.
  • Terminal Track Resolution: The view instantly drops into an isometric scanning coordinate grid. Watch your missiles ignite, arc across the tactical map, and splash the designated trajectories.
  • Cycle the Sortie: Once the map clears of active ordinance, the tactical screen reports your mission status. Tap your hot-wired green REPLAY button or hit the Canvas/Enter key to instantly re-boot your core HUD integrity system and launch a fresh patrol scramble.
